Burton man gets 13.5 years for accessory conviction

BEAUFORT, SC (Oct. 27, 2016) – A Burton man was sentenced to 13 ½ years in prison Thursday for his involvement following the death of his brother’s girlfriend.

Olin Wade Brown, 30, pleaded guilty to accessory to after the fact to murder in the death of 25-year-old Katherine Collier on Dec. 23, 2015.

Brown has a violent prior record, according to the case’s prosecutor, Deputy Solicitor Sean Thornton.

Brown had previously been convicted of a weapsons charge, armed robbery and second-degree burglary and had served time for those offenses.
