OKATIE, SC (April 14, 2020) – The 14th Circuit Solicitor’s Office recently launched a redesigned website that offers more information than ever before, in a format that makes it easier to find and view.
The new site can be viewed at its longtime address, www.scsolicitor14.org.
“Events of the past few weeks have probably made people appreciate more than ever websites that are thoughtfully designed and easy to use,” 14th Circuit Solicitor Duffie Stone said. “We think our new site puts a lot of useful information at people’s fingertips and will also help our office operate more efficiently.”
The rebuilt website was completed and launched on schedule, even as Solicitor’s Office employees worked remotely to help stem the spread of COVID-19. Several staff members collaborated with Bragg Media Marketing of Bluffton, which executed the redesign.
The new site is “mobile-responsive,” so that it displays better on tablets and smartphones. The navigation makes it easier for visitors to find information about office locations, services for crime victims, and alternative programs for offenders, such as Pretrial Intervention.
Other new features include:
- A “How do I …” section that provides short answers to frequently asked questions, along with links to additional information.
- A media section with a wealth of background material about the office, as well as links to other helpful legal and law-enforcement resources.
- A library of videos from the office’s popular YouTube channel and Facebook page.
The site’s new platform will make Solicitor’s Office staff more efficient in tasks such as processing payments and updating website content. The redesign also enhances security and ensures the site remains compliant with national Criminal Justice Information Services standards.
“This redesign makes us more secure, more efficient and, most importantly, even more transparent,” Solicitor’s Office Communications Director Jeff Kidd said. “The site is really a super resource for those who want to better understand how the Solicitor’s Office operates, and we’ve tried very hard to present all of this information in a way that keeps it from being overwhelming or difficult to find.”
